Parenting Education and Empowerment Training

Parenting Education and Empowerment Training (PEET)

Parenting Education and Empowerment Training provides supportive, skills-based education for parents and caregivers seeking to strengthen family relationships and build confidence in parenting. This program supports families involved with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), including court-ordered participants and those referred through service plans. Before beginning the training participants complete an assessment of their strengths and needs which serves as the basis for a tailored learning experience.  The program is designed to build on strengths and develop needed skills to improve communication, support their child’s safety and well-being, and build stronger, more stable families.
