The Bonanza Project

The Bonanza Project helps individuals and families experiencing long-term homelessness find and keep permanent housing. The program provides rental assistance and ongoing support to help participants stay housed, improve their well-being, and build stability over time. Services are tailored to each person’s needs and focus on long-term success in the community.

Where & Who We Serve

  • Where We Serve: Services are available in Cumberland County, North Carolina, including the Fayetteville area.
  • Who We Serve: We serve adults and families who are experiencing long-term homelessness and have a chronic disability that makes it harder to maintain stable housing. This may include individuals with mental health conditions, substance use challenges, or other barriers to housing.

Services are based on individual needs and may include:

  • Rental assistance to help pay for housing
  • Help finding and moving into an apartment
  • Regular case management and ongoing support
  • Help communicating with landlords
  • Transportation and food assistance
  • Life skills coaching and support
  • Help applying for benefits and income support
  • Connections to healthcare, mental health, and other community services

Participants live in apartments throughout the community, not in a shelter or group housing setting.
