Retired Army Medics or Nurse? The US Army Needs You!

US Army Medic COVID19 Relief

The US Army is calling for retired army medics and nurses to return to active duty.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the United States Army is going above and beyond to answer the call of duty.

As the virus has accelerated, it has threatened to overwhelm hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the nation. Brave nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals are dropping everything to help others.

Because of this shortage of supplies and manpower, the US Army recently sent out a request:

Are any retired Army medics and nurses willing and able to come back on active-duty for COVID-19 response?

This request is extended to any retired officers, noncommissioned officers, and soldiers who would be willing to assist with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic response effort should their skills and expertise be required.

“These extraordinary challenges require equally extraordinary solutions, and that’s why we’re turning to you,” said  Lt. Gen. Thomas Seamands, deputy chief of staff for Human Resources Command, in the official email.

“[You are] trusted professionals capable of operating under constantly changing conditions. When the Nation called, you answered. And now, that call may come again.

The United States Army is looking for any persons qualified to serve in any of the following health care specialties:

If you are interested in responding to the US Army’s call for medical professionals, you can contact them by emailing usarmy.knox.hrc.mbx.g3-retiree-recall@mail.mil or calling 502-613-4911.

We are so thankful for the brave men and women who serve our country!

Note: Endeavors is not affiliated with this request, nor officially with the US Army, though we do aim to serve Veterans and their families through our various support programs
