A message for the teams at Austin’s Arch and 8th Street Shelters

As you have likely heard, Endeavors will assume operations at both the Arch and 8th Street shelters here in Austin on Wednesday, October 1.

We know that many of you have been motivated to serve here in the firm belief you are making a difference. We share that belief.

A little about us: Endeavors is a Texas-based nonprofit with a long history in Austin, and we’re looking forward to expanding our services to more folks in the area. We have been a trusted partner of the City of Austin for many years, and currently operate the Marshaling Yard and Northbridge Emergency Shelters. In Austin, and other places, we have been honored to provide supportive housing and homelessness prevention services.

We are a faith-based organization, whose vision is to provide a helping hand to restore dignity and improve the quality of life for every client, every time, in every community we serve. We were founded by five Christian churches more than 50 years ago, and we are proud to treat clients, employees, and partners with compassion, integrity, and respect.

Our mission to serve people in need is rooted in our Core Values: Accountability & Integrity, Care & Compassion, Teamwork, Community Involvement, and a Commitment to Making A Difference. These values drive our daily actions with the people we serve, as well as the people we work alongside.
