Jeanette has seven years of experience working with military and Veteran populations in the mental health field with a focus on trauma. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with a master’s level education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. She is a certified member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and an active professional member of the Texas Counseling Association and recently completed consultation that prepared her to be a stamped approved supervisor by the Beck Institute to supervise others in providing (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Nine years of diverse management experience in both social service non-profit and for profit agencies has allowed her both to supervise others and to provide direct care services herself. Ms. James’ direct yet warm approach allows her to meet the individual and unique needs of her clients.

Aileen G. Serrano is the Lead Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas, Aileen leads a team of clinicians in providing services to post-9/11 Veterans and military families.
Aileen holds a master’s level education in mental health counseling from Webster University and has worked in the mental health field for 14 years. With a skill set culled from different professional positions, including intake coordination and case management, she has worked with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities and crisis units to prison populations to Veteran and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services to individual and group therapy.
Aileen has three years of experience working with military/Veteran populations in the mental health field with a focus on trauma.
She has training in evidence-based practices to include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Client-Centered Play Therapy.
When she’s not at work, Aileen loves going camping and spending time in nature.

Cynthia Torres serves as a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. With six years of experience working with military/Veteran populations in the mental health field, her focus is on couples therapy and trauma.
Working in the mental health field for the past 12 years, Cynthia has held roles including Behavioral Interventionist for children with autism, Case Manager for underprivileged populations and individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, and Program Manager for an inpatient womens’ unit. Additionally, while completing her internship hours, she worked in an inpatient setting with Veterans and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services providing individual and group therapy.
Cynthia has training in evidence-based practices to include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In addition to her role at the Cohen Clinic, Cynthia is a Mental Health First Aid instructor, providing trainings for her community in an effort to bring awareness to mental health.
She enjoys spending time with her six-year-old son and her family, as well as reading, listening to music, and baking.

Jennifer Gonzalez is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. She provides evidence-based treatment and counseling services to post-9/11 Veterans and military families through individual and couples therapy and play therapy for children.
Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy Specialization from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, among other distinctions in the field.
Specializing in trauma, she is certified and trained in various trauma-focused treatments, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure. She has additional specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Play Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
When she is not at work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her dogs and engaging in self-care activities such as massages and facials.

Manuel Hernandez is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso, where he provides evidence-based mental health therapy services to clients ranging from five to 85 years of age.
Beginning his career as a Social Service Case Manager, Manuel worked within the foster care system while he obtained his Master’s degree in Mental Health.
As a highly skilled clinician, Manuel assists the Cohen Clinic in providing mental health recovery services for Veterans and military families. With a skill set ranging from play therapy to trauma-focused cognitive processing therapy, he is able to provide services to individuals, couples, and families as needed for their recovery.
Manuel prides himself on his dedication to his community and family, providing family services within the El Paso region for over 11 years. Working in both the out-patient and in-patient mental health sector, he truly enjoys being able to positively influence his community.
A proud father of two, Manuel is a self-proclaimed child at heart who enjoys using his creativity, love of drawing, painting, and music in his therapy.

Maria (Mary) Valencia is a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. Previously an Intake Coordinator, Mary now provides CBT and EFT therapy sessions to Veterans and military families.
Mary has earned a Master’s degree in Counseling, a second Master’s degree in Health Administration, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, among other distinctions in the field.
As a member of a team of dedicated therapists and other staff members who provide services for Veterans and military families in the El Paso Community, she helps the Cohen Clinic identify substance abuse disorders, provide substance abuse psychoeducation, and deliver mental health therapy.
In addition to her role at the Cohen Clinic, Mary helps to provide Anger Management classes at Endeavors, is a PRN consultant for the National Association Drug Court Professional (NADCP), and is a part-time faculty Professor with the El Paso Community College Social Work Department.
Recently becoming a grandmother, she enjoys spending all the time she possibly can with her beautiful granddaughter. She also enjoys cooking, and reading or listening to anything inspirational, spiritual, or regarding self-help.

At the Cohen Clinic, she provides treatment to Veterans and military families.
Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and has worked in the mental health field for close to six years. Holding positions that range from Program Therapist to Program Manager, she has experience with inpatient care that provides individual and group therapy to children, women, adults, seniors, and military populations, including military children and adolescents. Michelle has spent the past three years working with Veteran and military populations in the mental health field with a focus on trauma.
Michelle has training in evidence-based practices to include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Pediatric Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Client-Centered Play Therapy. She also received training and is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She has additional training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 and Counseling Grief Clients.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys working out, running, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and eating really good food.

Treating both adults and adolescents, Monika’s job entails developing treatment plans, diagnosing, and reviewing the most beneficial discharge plan for the client.
With eight years of experience in the mental health field, Monika has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Beginning her career as a crisis specialist at the Mental Health Authority in El Paso, TX, she now helps the Cohen Clinic with receiving and assisting individuals in a crisis state by de-escalating and finding the best solution for them.
In her spare time, Monika enjoys watching movies, working out, watching UFC and football, going out to eat with her husband, and spending time with her dogs.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Sally Rochel serves as a Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso where she provides trauma-informed care to Veterans and military families.
Sally has earned a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at El Paso, an MA in Counseling and Guidance from New Mexico State University, and has eight years of experience in the mental health field. In addition to her formal education, she has completed training in evidence-based practices to include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Pediatric Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress.
With a background that spans across various demographics, Sally is well-versed in treating everything from home-based services to children in impoverished communities to inpatient care to various populations to outpatient mental health treatment to the military/Veteran community.
In her free time, she loves to exercise, frequently going for a run outdoors and hiking. Sally also enjoys listening to music, doing mindfulness activities, having dinner with her family, and going to church.

Alfred Martell is a Case Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. Aside from his case management responsibilities, Alfred also serves as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern for the Cohen Clinic, acquiring clinical hours for future treatment services with Endeavors.
With experience including four years of working with the Department of Defense at Ft. Bliss, Alfred has assisted active duty service members and their families for mission readiness by providing epidemiological services and wellness.
Willing to do whatever it takes to support his clients, he is fully committed to working collaboratively by sharing ideas and demonstrating mutual respect.
In his spare time, Alfred enjoys playing golf which helps him reduce stress by providing minimal social contact, fresh air, and mental stimulation.

Jesny Miranda is a Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) Social Work Fellow for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso.
Possessing a Master’s degree in social work from The University of Texas at El Paso, among other distinctions in the field, Jesny applies and develops clinical skills to provide mental health services. Additionally, she helps the Cohen Clinic by assessing client mental health needs and providing mental health services.
In her spare time, Jesny likes to read and do CrossFit.

Brenda Sikorski provides medication management for clients as the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. As part of her role with the clinic, she also consults with clinicians and staff, educating on the role of medications as a mental health treatment option.
Brenda began her career serving in the US Army Nurse Corps, where she achieved her psychiatric clinical nurse specialty in 1981 at the Army’s Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Course. Several years later, in 1989, Brenda went on to complete the Army’s Officer Clinical Head Nurse Course.
She has worked in various roles as a civilian psychiatric nurse for the Department of the Army. At the local Veterans Healthcare Service, Brenda initially served as a nurse in the Substance Abuse Treatment Program, then became a Suicide Prevention Coordinator, and later, a Nurse Practitioner in the Mental Health Service’s Military Trauma Treatment Program.
Utilizing her military background and her vast experience and professional skills, Brenda helps the Cohen Clinic in collaborating with clinicians, assessing client needs, and identifying treatment approaches.
During her spare time, she likes to read, enjoy the outdoors with her family and pets, and practice tai chi. In the future, she’d like to get back into painting in oils, a former hobby of hers.

Carolina Echeverria

Carolina (Caro) Echeverria is a Medical Case Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Endeavors in San Antonio, El Paso, and Killeen, where she works closely with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, facilitating the referral process from therapy into medication management.
Focusing on the correspondence between clinic and community providers, Caro eases continuity of care and assists patients with medication refills, prior authorizations, and the transition to providers in the community once the discharge process has been initiated.
She has over eight years of experience in the psychiatry/mental health field and working in inpatient care, with a focus on active duty service members/Veterans/reservists, their families, and pediatrics, prior to working at Endeavors.
When she’s not at work, Caro enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and spoiling her rescue dog, a pit bull named Holly.

Felicia Niño is the Communication Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Endeavors in San Antonio, El Paso, and Killeen. She focuses on proper branding, news media and advertising opportunities, event promotions, marketing, publications, the Cohen Clinics social media presence, and is the primary liaison between the clinics, the host-organization, Endeavors, the local Veteran/military family community, and local and national media outlets.
Felicia has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio and over 12 years of Public Relations experience. She has participated in hundreds of LIVE and pre-recorded TV and radio interviews, was featured on The Dodo, secured coverage on ABC’s Good Morning America’s Mission PAWsible: The 'GMA' Doggie Adoptathon and Huffington Post, and was a Fiesta® San Antonio Participating Member Organization Commissioner.
Felicia grew up in a military family where her dad served over 20 years in the United States Air Force. Moving, changing schools, making new friends every few years, and living and traveling the US and Europe led to Felicia becoming highly adaptable, appreciative, and accepting of everyone’s unique experiences and differences.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching Elevation Church messages, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), UFC, and movies with her husband. They have a blended family, five adorable rescue dogs (Browny, Duke, Sherlock, Brutus “Beefy” Beefcake, Pluto), and love spending quality time with their family and friends.

Ismael Lopez is the Outreach and Life Skills Coordinator for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. Helping the Cohen Clinic maintain and raise awareness of its services, he coordinates and develops educational groups and webinars and collaborates with other community organizations.
Ismael has been recognized with several awards for his service, including the 2020 El Paso County Veteran of the Year, Official Star Lighter Award, 2019 Homefront Teacher of the Year and NAMI’s 2018 Peer to Peer Teacher of the Year Awards. Additionally, he has received special recognition by former Congressman Beto O’Rourke for his work within the Veteran community.
Currently in grad school, Ismael is working toward earning a Master’s degree in Social Work. When he has free time, Ismael’s hobbies include camping, hunting, dog training, and woodworking.

Justin Rotti, a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army, serves as an Emergency Services Outreach Specialist for Endeavors. In his position, Justin plans, coordinates, and supervises Emergency Service and Rapid Deployment operations in support of natural disasters and emergencies.
Additionally, he contributes to outreach services for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso, by providing community development and mental health awareness among the Veteran community and El Paso government.
Justin enjoys continuing his education, practicing martial arts, and riding his motorcycle in his spare time.

Anthony R. Perez is the Data Manager for The Steven A. Cohen, Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. He manages all aspects of the Electronic Health Record system, including data analysis and reporting for the clinic. Serving as a key member of the clinic team, Anthony ensures data quality and process improvement.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and has over 15 years of experience in accounting, internal audit, and data management.
As the first recipient of the CVN Star Award, an award given to the Employee Health Record Champion, Anthony is an essential asset to the Cohen Clinic. Recently completing his third year of employment with the clinic, he utilizes his expertise to serve as a mentor for other network personnel.
In his spare time, Anthony enjoys playing golf and attending live sporting events and concerts.

Febby De Almeida serves as the Office Manager for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso, where she leads and oversees the day-to-day billing, administrative, and front office operations.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Marketing, from San Francisco State University. Febby spent over eight years in the administration and management industry, where she learned to excel within a diverse and fast-paced environment.
Beginning as a Receptionist with Endeavors, Febby has been promoted twice and has been recognized by the Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) as the “CVN Billing Champion.” She supports the Cohen Clinic by maintaining a high standard of professionalism and compliance and ensures daily operations are run efficiently and effectively.
When Febby isn’t working, she loves to travel, cook, and try out different foods and cuisines.

Elizabeth Mendoza

Elizabeth (Liz) Mendoza serves as a Receptionist for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso, where she provides administrative support and manages daily tasks related to the front desk.
She often provides the clinic’s first impression with her duties including answering calls from clients, potential clients, and community partners, following up with clients who have missed their appointment to ensure their well-being, scheduling client appointments, and greeting and directing visitors, clients, and stakeholders. Liz’s other responsibilities involve organizing and filing sensitive files and documents while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, coordinating clinicians’ schedules, and scheduling childcare and transportation to and from the clinic for clients that need it.
Trained in Mental Health First Aid and having experience with crisis intervention, Liz was recognized in 2018 for her quick action in ensuring a high-risk client’s safety.
She enjoys spending time with her two young children at t-ball practices and games on weekends and in her spare time.

Valerie Morales is the Administrative Assistant for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso.
Employed at the clinic for over a year, she helps provide high-quality and accessible mental health care to Veterans and military family members by utilizing her vast experience in clerical work.
Valerie works directly under the Office Manager and helps manage and distribute information within the office while contributing to the team in all areas needed to ensure any issues are quickly and efficiently resolved.
As a family member of Veterans, Valerie loves helping the Veteran community and their families as much as she can and will continue to do so in the years to come.
When Valerie isn’t working, she loves to hang out with her family and friends. She also enjoys playing with her four dogs and her bunny.

The Cohen Clinics at Endeavors offer services provided by credentialed staff trained to work specifically with the military population. Veterans and military families can receive mental health care individually and together in the same place, at the same time, with the same treatment team.

Case management support and local referrals to help with education, employment, financial assistance, housing, and legal issues are also available via the Cohen Clinics.
