Have you heard about The Big Give? This annual twenty-four-hour online giving event has raised over $25 million for local San Antonio non-profits over the past six years.
No matter which causes are close to your heart, the Big Give allows you to take part in something bigger than yourself— from environmental organizations, cultural institutions, advocacy groups, and way more.
Our Big Give Goal: Veteran Wellness Center
Endeavors is honored to be included amongst the incredible San Antonio area non-profits in The Big Give 2020.
The generous funds we receive through this event will help forward our vision of restoring dignity and improving the quality of life for the vulnerable people we serve through the benefits of our programs.
This year, in particular, the funds we receive will go towards our new state-of-the-art Veteran Wellness Center (currently under construction). The goal of this building is to provide accessible, integrated health and wellness services to Veterans, their families, military dependents, and the care community.
We will do this by offering services based on six principles of wellness: mind-body, connectedness, spiritual, environmental, economic, and knowledge. That means everything from trauma counseling to fitness classes to financial wellness education.
These services will be available regardless of era of service, discharge status, or family member role to help improve the overall quality of life of our military community. The VWC will deliver positive, supportive, and integrated care in one location to focus on self-care and overall health that enhances daily choices for wellness.
What will your donation provide?
Our overall goal for this year is $10k! Every dollar will go towards a vital part of the Veteran Wellness Center!
- $25 will register a Veteran in a physically and mentally beneficial exercise class.
- $50 will provide childcare for Veterans seeking help at the VWC.
- $100 will offer chiropractic care to Veterans with a history of physical trauma.
- $250 will include a one-year membership for Veterans to improve their overall wellbeing, and $500 will provide a tailored wellness experience for veterans hoping to improve their health.
How can you participate in The Big Give?
Beginning March 19, donations will be accepted, but the big day takes place for 24 hours on March 26. Head to The Big Give’s website to support the non-profit of your choice. Matching opportunities will also be happening throughout the day.
Additionally, the night before The Big Give, we’ll be hosting a Benefit Night at the Taco Cabana located at 12731 W IH-10 in San Antonio. Stop by on Wednesday (March 25th) anytime between 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, mention Endeavors, and Taco Cabana will donate 20% of your purchase.
