To put it lightly, 2020 has been a tough year for so many.
As a nonprofit that supports Veterans, homeless families, hurricane victims, and victims of domestic violence, we’ve seen firsthand how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted people across the country.
However, we’ve also seen that struggle doesn’t have to be the end of the story.
Perhaps more than any year on record for Endeavors, we have been tremendously inspired by the resiliency, courage, and determination that our clients have shown in the face of difficulty.
We’ve seen people lose their homes, jobs, and future plans, only to stand right back up and keep trying, keep pushing, keep laboring towards the life they want… often with incredible results.
We have also seen our donors, volunteers, and supporters show up more than ever before— making and distributing homemade masks, mobilizing voters, donating food and flowers and gifts, and continually asking, “How can we help more?”
This holiday season, as we enter the time of celebration and giving, we are seeing a swell of generous people who are determined to prove that, when disaster strikes, kindness still prevails.
This is why we’ve created a comprehensive guide for anyone interested in spreading #CovidKindness with their holiday dollars. No matter who you are or where you choose to give, we are thankful and inspired by you.
1. Donate To Our Housing Goods Drive
We are looking for everything from loofahs to microwaves to cleaning supplies for clients of Endeavors Housing Services. These clients often come to us without basic necessities such as food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and bedding. You can donate easily (without even leaving your house!) via our Amazon Wishlist.
2. Shop With Purpose With AmazonSmile

3. Support Our Veteran Wellness Center
For Veterans, making wellness a priority helps create a positive, stable post-military life. Our Veteran Wellness Center will help them make that happen! From mental health to physical health to holistic health, with your donation, together we’ll ensure Veterans receive services that will improve their quality of life, as well as the quality of life for their families, military dependents, and the care community.

4. Help Improve Veteran Lives
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Endeavors provide high-quality, accessible, and integrated mental health care to Veterans and militarytheir families regardless of role, discharge status, or ability to pay. As providers of more than just mental health care, our Cohen Clinics help Veterans and military families with support and referrals for related needs, including employment, housing, financial assistance, legal issues, and education.

5. Help Mobilize Our Rapid Deployment Teams
From hurricane shelters to unaccompanied minor care, we provide both the resources and staff needed during times of crisis. Our Emergency Rapid Deployment services have assisted communities in need for nearly a decade! With over 1,600 professional reserve staff located throughout the United States, Endeavors is available to deploy within 72 hours of activation in response to natural disasters, crises, or public health emergencies.

6. Show Love To Disaster Victims
Our Disaster Case Management (DCM) services connect emergency or disaster victims to services and funding they may not be aware of, helping them recover after an emergency or disaster situation. From safety shelters and evacuation efforts to home repair, new furniture, and clothing, Endeavors seeks to help in any way we can.

7. Show Crime Victims They Are Not Alone
Through our Safe Services program, we seek to improve the lives of those who have experienced trauma due to crimes committed against them. We respond to the emotional, psychological, and physical needs of crime victims, assist crime survivors in stabilizing their lives after victimization, help crime survivors understand and navigate the criminal justice system, restores a measure of safety and security to crime survivors, and devotes resources to assist victims of crime in recovery.

8. Help Someone Find A New Home
For those who are struggling with homelessness, Endeavors’ Supportive Housing program provides support and care to families, individuals, and Veterans. Our programs seek to empower and equip individuals to live strong, healthy, fulfilling lives. These families and individuals receive case management, professional counseling, life skills training, and employment opportunities, allowing them to increase self-sufficiency and family income while decreasing episodes of homelessness and/or acute psychiatric care.

9. Give To Employees With Disabilities
Endeavors Unlimited provides housing, life skills training, and supportive employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. Helping those in the program achieve a stable, successful, and self-sufficient lifestyle, Endeavors Unlimited is uniquely capable of providing both commercial services for business and government entities and supportive training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
