Austin ARPA “American Rescue Plan Act” Homelessness Prevention Program

WHAT WE DO

The Austin ARPA Homelessness Prevention Program will serve eligible individuals and families who are in danger of becoming homeless. The program is designed to stabilize individuals and families in their existing homes and/or assist individuals and families with securing affordable housing. The program will provide clients with a wide array of support, including: utility payments (in arrears), utility deposits, rental application fees, and initial moving costs. The rental assistance will provide based off of the individuals or families financial needs to secure and/or sustain housing.

Due to the high volume of applications for homelessness prevention assistance, our initial response time is running slower than normal. It may take our team up to 72 hours to schedule the intake appointment. If you have received a notice to vacate and you need urgent assistance within the 14 days, please reach out to our intake team member at 936-208-8849. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
