The Referral Manager role holds the essential responsibility of orchestrating the seamless coordination of medical specialty referrals for unaccompanied minor patients within the shelter. By overseeing the preapproval process through Point Comfort Underwriters (PCU), meticulously tracking billing and payments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, this position safeguards the timely and accurate delivery of essential medical services. The Referral Manager acts as a conduit between medical providers, insurance representatives, and billing departments, employing a meticulous approach to documentation, ethical practice, and patient advocacy. Through effective collaboration, problem-solving, and commitment to continuous improvement, the Referral Manager upholds the highest standards of care and financial integrity while contributing significantly to the welfare of unaccompanied minor patients.
