Referral Coordinator (Pecos, TX)

JOB PURPOSE:

The Referral Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the healthcare delivery system by ensuring a seamless, efficient, and effective coordination of referrals for minors within the healthcare network. This position is instrumental in managing the referral process from primary care providers to specialists, ensuring that minors receive timely and appropriate care. The Referral Coordinator acts as a vital link between minors, healthcare providers, and Point Comfort Underwriters (PCU), facilitating the exchange of information, scheduling of appointments, and verification of insurance coverage. The goal is to streamline the referral process, reduce wait times for minors, and ensure compliance with healthcare policies and PCU requirements. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as it involves a high degree of coordination and collaboration with various stakeholders in the healthcare system. The referral coordinator is essential in enhancing the care and satisfaction of minors by ensuring that the referral process is handled efficiently and effectively.
