JOB PURPOSE:
The Clinical Counselor (Clinician) is responsible for the mental health assessments and providing ongoing counseling and crisis intervention services for all children within the Unaccompanied Children (UC) program. Additionally, the Clinical Counselor provides ongoing individual and group counseling sessions, screening for human trafficking concerns, and crisis intervention. The Clinical Counselor will work in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to maintain a therapeutic and emotionally healing environment, establish treatment goals and assist in the child’s adjustment to shelter placement.
