Erica Contreras
Erica started her 18-year career in the financial services industry while pursuing her education simultaneously. She earned a BS degree in Psychology from the University of Houston (UH) and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Erica has a passion for promoting literacy, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and education. She is an active LULAC member and enjoys volunteering as a professional speaker with organizations such as Association of Financial Professionals, Future Business Leaders of America, San Antonio Dress for Success, Houston Hispanic Forum Career and Education Day, and many others across the country. Erica serves on the Advisory Panel of the Managing Human Resources Program at the UH, Bauer College of Business. Contreras transitioned to the non-profit industry in 2020 and is currently the Chief Learning Officer (CLO) at Endeavors. Within her first 3 months, she rolled out Endeavors’ Diversity and Inclusion Employee Network to create awareness and celebrate similarities and differences that exist within our communities. Her current certifications include Certified Treasury Professional, Professional in Human Resources, Certified Professional Coach, Myers Briggs Indicator Type (MBTI), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Emotional Intelligence Certifications. In her free time Erica loves to read, dance, spend time with family and friends, and travel the world.
