Andrea “Drea” Hall

With almost two decades of experience serving Chicago families, Andrea “Drea” Hall has advocated for affordable housing, passed legislation and policies to reform the criminal justice system, worked with students and families to increase parent engagement, and collaborated with national partners to reduce racial inequities in the juvenile justice system.

She joined the Board of Directors for Endeavors in 2024. A dedicated advocate and community organizer, Drea’s focus and passion aligns with Endeavors’ vision to provide a helping hand to restore dignity and improve the quality of life for every client, every time, in every community we serve.

“I am honored to join the team at Endeavors as they work to offer a helping hand to veterans, disaster survivors, the unhoused, children and families,” Hall said. “Together, we can expand the impact of the great work that has been happening here since 1969.”

Drea is the CEO at MYSI (Methodist Youth Services Incorporated), a program dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for youth and their families in the Chicagoland area through responsive, efficient, and quality programs and services. She assumed the position of CEO for MYSI in April 2023, dedicating herself to filling key leadership positions, improving wages and benefits for qualified employees, and increasing visibility to the program’s impact through community outreach and collaboration.

Previously, Drea served as the Executive Director of the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission – part of the Illinois Department of Human Services. In that role she was responsible for federal grant writing and management, as well as serving as the grant monitor for four federal grants. She also worked closely with the Lieutenant Governor’s Office to manage and appoint new candidates to the IJJC, led the strategic planning process, and maintained state compliance with the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act.

Drea holds a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., which named her the Distinguished Alumni of the Year for 2024.
