Cynthia Torres

Cynthia Torres serves as a Supervising Clinician for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso. With six years of experience working with military/Veteran populations in the mental health field, her focus is on couples therapy and trauma.
Working in the mental health field for the past 12 years, Cynthia has held roles including Behavioral Interventionist for children with autism, Case Manager for underprivileged populations and individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, and Program Manager for an inpatient womens’ unit. Additionally, while completing her internship hours, she worked in an inpatient setting with Veterans and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services providing individual and group therapy.
Cynthia has training in evidence-based practices to include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In addition to her role at the Cohen Clinic, Cynthia is a Mental Health First Aid instructor, providing trainings for her community in an effort to bring awareness to mental health.
She enjoys spending time with her six-year-old son and her family, as well as reading, listening to music, and baking.
